• We recommend using this tip with the Dremel Multifunction Cutting Attachment, as it is designed to help you maintain depth during application.
• It is important that the depth of the guide supports the cutting blade extending beyond the material by about 0.6 cm (.25”).
• If the tip extends too far beyond the plane of the material, it may be more difficult to control and may even break.
• Best control The cutting speed is achieved when the movement is performed clockwise. Start the cut at a 45-degree angle and then bring the attachment to the 90-degree position. The tool should be set to a high speed; the feed rate of the material or the tool through the material should be slow and gradual. Excessive pressure will cause this attachment to overheat. Using the tip of the attachment is not the best way to cut – we recommend using the sides of the tip, where the full cutting capacity of the flute can be applied. Materials in which it can be used: Soft materials such as softwoods (less than 12 mm thick), plastics, fiberglass, and thin aluminum sheets. Recommended speed: Aluminum 20,000 – 35,000 rpm. Hardwood 20,000 – 35,000 rpm Softwood 20,000 – 35,000 rpm Plastic 10,000-15,000 rpm.
